Is Site Advisor a toolbar?

    I'm going to put Spyware Terminator's toolbar blocker at block all but I don't know if that will block me from installing updates for Site Advisor.

    Yes....the toolbar is installed as a BHO (a Browser Helper Object) plugin.

    Not sure what you mean....what "both" are you referring to ?

    You mean its a toolbar and BHO? Or just BHO?

    I think both. A toolbar like SiteAdvisor will use BHO to get access to browser events and data to do its work.

    A toolbar plugin(third party browser extension) for IE is a BHO(Browser Helper Object).
