Hello, I try to upgrade windows 8 on my old pc(not that old as 7 is running smoothly)
There is no "NX" or "XD" feature in processor,is there any way I can bypass the step and install windows 8 on this machine

I have installed 8 on my laptop and I like it that is why i want to upgrade my desktop too but i don't wish to upgrade my hardware right now

    Any help will be appreciated
    Thanks

why don't u make an image of your current partition using some free tool like EaseUS Todo Backup Free, then install Windows 8 on that older laptop and see if it works well. Windows 8 usually have built in drivers for everything.

PS: I don't know how on earth did you like this crappy OS

    StrangerGuy,

Unless you can enable XD in your BIOS you are out of luck. I tried restoring an image of a good Win8 partition to a "problem" computer but you still get the processor error when you boot.
