Is it possible for malware to bypass UAC?

    Yep it is a good approach. This is one of the first things I do as well when I first setup Windows 7. UAC popups don't bother me much lol :D

    Bahhh...I loved Vista a lot. I was amazed at how much it was like Windows 7, despite all the negative hype it got...

    ...then again I started using it after sp3. :p

    Hxxp://www.room362.com/blog/2012/1/3/uac-user-assisted-compromise.html shows a way to run an .exe of one's choice whenever a UAC prompt appears. A user who is alert enough might notice that the wrong .exe appears in the UAC prompt message though. This technique works in either protected admin accounts or standard accounts.
