    I am running:
    Nod32
    TrojanHunter
    winpatrol
    comodo fw
    spyware terminater

    I am using:
    Router fw
    spyware blaster
    firefox

Is a AS program needed with this setup? I have not had any spyware scanner pick up anything in a couple of years so I wanted to know what people though about not running one?

    Thanks

No real time antispyware protection is needed since you have a great setup plus real time antispyware apps are normally very heavy and bloated.
the only think i would think of adding is a hosts file like mvps.
you can use hoster found at funkytoad to put in the mvps hosts file and put it back to the windows default hosts file if you ever see the need.
    found here http://www.funkytoad.com/content/view/13/31/
hoster is a very useful hosts file tool dont even need to install it.

u do know spyware terminator is an AS, right?

i prefer having AS for just on-demand scans, not realtime.

Did you mean to ask if you need ANOTHER antispyware application? You already run 3 (Spyware Blaster, Spyware Terminator and Trojan Hunter).

I wanted to see if I really needed a AS in realtime, or if I can scan on demand every so often...

    Thanks

nod32 + spyware terminator + comodo is suffcient. Install an on demand scanner like superantispyware or a-squared antimalware and you're good to go.

yeah, quite true..nod32 has a damn good protection against Anti-spyware and co...but still spyware terminator will more than make-up for any lapses..
