iPad, iPhone and Hotspot Shield

I've been trying out HotSpot Shield on the free 7-day trial. I must say that I am impressed. You can use it on up to 5 iOS devices (on your account) at no extra charge. The 'Elite' package is only $9.98 a year or .99 a month through the app store. The speeds are very good, it uses 128-bit encryption with IPsec security. iOS now supporting IPsec/L2TP natively makes the security with wifi much better. No bandwidth limits is another great feature with HSS. The device uses the tunnel, not just the browser. All apps tunnel through the VPN. $10 a year? That's a steal for safety in public wifi situations. You can also still use HSS for free if you can put up with all the ads. But with the premium package as cheap as it is, it's worth it for better speeds and no ads.

For those of you on Android, as of a couple of weeks ago, it's now available for you as well.
