Is this issued by Agnitum via Auto-update ?? Or am I forced to do it manually ??

 

There is no IP blocklist via Auto-update, you have to download the outpost blocklist to your pc and then unzip the IP blocklist and in outpost under setting, click on IP blocklist and then click on edit host list and from there you can import the IP blockist and load it into outpost.

Wonder why Agnitum doesn't update the blocked IP list with known malware sources ??

 

Outpost gives you the capability to add IP addresses via it IP Blocklist. The IP Blocklist referred to above is independent of Agnitum. Agnitum does not provide a list. Agnitum does maintain and update a similar function called Site Blacklist.

Do you know what the source of the blocklist is? I am currently using a modified hosts file (MVPS and hpHosts).

Thanks GiddyUp. I was just wondering if anyone knew the source of the blocklist itself. Whether it is different from MVPS or a lot of the same entries.

 

I know this link, with various blocklists from various sources.The guy that maintain the site is fakhir. I see hundreds posts from he in the peerguardian forum.

In any case you can use the Blocklist manager from Bluetack. You can choose the lists you wanna use and add anyone you desire, but exist the need that list is in a pre-formated form, or the manager will not compile the list.

yep so good... but outpost show me a problem: (the same behavior in pg2 beta in vista)

big lists= more resources. So when i use Outpost i compile a small list, only with spyware, bogus, hijacked, dshield, ads and the list you show in your link. With this, the resource grow only +-5 Mb... so no problem.

If you use great lists (using all anti p2p) stay prepared to create exclusions too, because some ranges are trusted and i don't know why they are in the blocklist, like Comodo and Cisco. If you guys know why, please tell us.

Hello GiddyUp, I was going to check on Outpost forum to see if any updates were available for the blocklist, but, I couldn't.

I also couldn't get to Agnitum's official page.

Do you know if there's anything happening?
