IP address changed states....?

    I've had the same IP address for a couple years, and all the sudden today it is saying I live in a different state and the number changed completely... is this normalo_O

    Possibly your provider has moved the servers, or switched to other servers at a different location? Or (perhaps more likely) has there been a change in ownership of the provider, with the "parent" company now using its own servers rather than the ones you're used to?

    magdalena81, first, welcome to Wilders! As MikeBCda has stated, it's not unusual for ISPs to move servers around. For many years, AOL ran all their nationwide traffic via servers in Virginia. You should contact your Internet Service Provider and ask them your question. You can always post back if you think your PC has fallen prey to malware.
