Some strange occurrences that made me uninstall. My submenu delay was reset as well as desktop display theme and default sounds. Running Windows XP Pro/ SP3, NOD32 version 4 and Windows firewall.

remember this is not an AV replacement software. IObit 360 is meant to accompany ur AV and yes its not meant to have a widespread detectiom database like an AV. if u read through the thread u might have known that...

and dont forget its a beta aswell. an early beta at that.

i know that but i test it against spyware and rogues also.....it says behavior blocker where is? known an unknown malware blocker.... is very poor....not a 360 security. it is in beta stage maybe i try the final edition but for now...im finish . my opinion is in these days when you release a good antimalware must have 360 protection all the other are useless....we must wait for the final release and for good tests to talk again about this software. and i have test it only for prevention not for detection. for detection and removal maybe is better

The behavior blocker is a light HIPS. Read through the thread please :) As for the number of detections there are 100,000+ in there, which means it does not cover the 5,000,000+ samples other vendors have. Security 360 is like MBAM, it detects the circulating and active threats.

Version 2 has the Tools included. :thumb:
The Privacy Sweeper looks a lot like Advanced System Care Pro.
The Security Holes tool scans for available Hotfixes.
Hijack Scan could be handy too.

I'll have to try some of the tools, but it looks like a nice package.

Looks nice, light on system but poor detection rate.

In fact, while on-demand scanning Iobit was able to detect malware files but after that when I run malware files was not able to detect them (Advanced Protection was ON). It is strange behavior because Iobit should be capable to catch these malware because it is capable to recognize them by on-demand scanning. Also, after my pc was infected Iobit found (during the Smart Scan) infections all over PC.

Something is really wrong with the resident protection module?

I'll get the developers to look into it :thumb: By the way check out Passive Defense in tools as well :) Also, detection rates are like those of MBAM. It detects current and active threats that are currently circulating. Once threats are detected by more and more vendors, and they move out of circulation, the detections are removed.

I have a question about using the Security Holes Tool.
If I want to install two hotfixes they would be installed to Windows folder correct?
Because I tried to install two hotfixes using the tool and it failed.
I used that folder and it didn't work. Any ideas?

** It works if I have BIT and Automatic Updates services on.

They will be in your Downloaded folder. This is in; C:\Program Files\IObit\IObit Security 360\Downloaded

And IObit uses the Automatic Updates Server to see what updates you have missed out on. The services must be enabled, but do not need to be running.

There have been a few problems with FP's with other AV's at the moment. They are being cleared up as soon as they appear :)

Being that it's a beta and the update frequency is very good, I'm optimistic that the detection rate will improve.

Having read all the posts re. IObit 360 I decided to install and try it.

SnoopFree Privacy eyes popped up to say IObit 360 wanted screen access,
I denied it access because I couldn't think why it would need screen access,
Since then it's tried 4 times to get screen access - does anyone know why ?

I ran the first scan and it came up with a Dread Red it called,
Adware.Ezula - it was in System32 and called mnmsrvc.exe and looks to
be a legit. M$ Net Meeting file - I ran the file through Virustotal for a result
of zero from 38 so it must be a FP.

Something else popped up re. a IObit 360 thing called IS360srv.exe - would anyone know what that does ?
