Very interesting indeed. I'm afraid without an English version it will remain in Korea though. The developer should perhaps consider a lower price for home users and have a professional translator do the job.

Yeah, I'm a little afraid that they might not provide a multiuser interface.. :ouch:

and DS@home is free, only DS@office/DS@net costs for workspace(or internet cafe)

    Does it work in a dual/triple boot ( I have Ubuntu, Win 7 & Win 8 ), with Win 7 boot manager?
How much space use on HDD (i have only 2Gb left on C)?

oh, sorry for my english :'(
currently there is no official multilanguage support.
what I mean was : added (screenshot-version of) english translation for installation process.

I modified the "translation" thread to make it easier to install

It depends on the system configuration you use.
of course with Windows 7 bootmgr multi-boot system is supported.
if you want to use grub/burg bootloader you should take some guideline.

you can check the sandbox capacity at "Current staus" tab.

    Thanks ;)

Btw, i observed that it create a kind of baseline called "Initial Point", that can be updated after committing some files.
In that case, there is a way to return to the old Initial Point?

Does the Bootfetch feature is Win8 compatible or just Win7? because i dont see it during the boot.

Also can we select other partition than the system?

The answer is no, if you commit changes that will be your new initial point.
Btw in Diskshot v4.x(future version) it will support timeline feature, so you can revert it back :D

DiskShot is compatible with win8, that includes bootfetch feature.

to activate bootfetch you need to set proper configuration.

For what I know, DiskShot only protects the partition that's installed.

Great find Dax. I'm really interested in the Ramdisk option you mentioned that accelerates booting. Can the sandboxed system reside fully in RAM? If it can do then this would be very good as it would save SSDs from a lot of hits. I have 32GB or RAM ATM (soon to become 64), and would love to have the virtual system fully loaded into RAM.

Enough with this Bootfetch nonsense. It can't speed up the boot time. In order for the data to be made into a Ramdrive it has to be read from the hard drive anyway, which defeats the whole purpose. Not to mention the added time for the Ramdrive driver initialization.
I can't speak for the rest of the program. It might be pretty darn solid. But this thing is pure baloney.

I realize all this, I was just asking the man if the program actually uses a RAM buffer while in Windows. Since he said that the program can create a ramdisk of sorts at startup, I can presume that the virtualization buffer itself may possibly reside in RAM while in Windows, rather than hitting the SSD.

With default option DiskShot will return the RAM to the system once the boot process is complete,
but if you place bootfetch.ini to C:\Windows, you can still use it for application acceleration.

Simply fill the list for bootfetch.ini
    ini.png

to maximize the bootfetch performance, you might need to modify your superfetch/prefetch parameter.
for how to enable bootfetch easily, I'll post the how-to thread.

Well, Bootfecth is not that useless as you think...
AFAIK it works because of the way HDD platter works.
I'll take some test, and post it again.

Well, v3.x license key won't work on v4.x, except for Unlimited license.
(even if v3.x key goes invalid there will be v4.x giveaway key.. )

That would be fine but an explanation as to how exactly this technology works would be nice and much appreciated.
