There's no current public BETA... the most recent version was finally released (Build 703).

This forum belongs to Wilders, not XeroWeight; why cannot we all get the link?

But the subject of this thread is Flashback, so posting about other software in this thread isn't appropriate.

    I think AX64/Flashback does only ONLINE/Hot backups..
Maybe if you run it from external usb Windows or such..

It does not do off-line backup, only on-line backup. Restores are done off-line and "semi" off-line (at the native mode Windows NT API BOOT level),

    Running latest AX64 V2 Stable on Win 10 64.

Rescue Media has an option "Startup Manager"...guess this will create a boot option, right? How to remove the boot option?

    Should I disable Windows Defrag?

Should I exclude or trust AX64 in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows?

First are you really running AX 64 or Flashback?

    Definitely.
Usually AV/Security software cause more or less problems with this type of backup software.
(I was even told to exclude Macrium Reflect from my security software,by Macrium Support..)

Okay, well that makes sense. I would never use Norton. Norton causes conflicts with SBIE also

Rescue Media has option to set as boot entry, does it changes MBR?

Its safe & good to set FB as boot option, right?

Does Windows Updates affects FB like Rollback?

    Win 10 64

May be you should be asking a different question. As a secondary imager fine, but if it is your primary imager, I would call it beta quality.

I have 2 partition C & E, E is where I keep all my data, etc.. & is backed up to external HDD too.
C is the system drive & all programs installed.
So I just want to protect C drive with AX64 & kind of better replacement for system restore with more functions like easy to test new software & revert back, etc... So if anything goes wrong I am fine with installing Windows.

But I dont like these type of software that changes MBR & are affected by Windows Updates like Rollback.
So I requested the info here if setting AX64 as boot option changes MBR? And if AX64 is affected by Windows Updates like Rollback or not?

Had to uninstall FB due to hangs and long restores when I didn't need that. Just not ready for prime time. I do wish they would get v2 consistently reliable before worrying about v3. I'm certainly not going to fork over any more money until I have a solid program than I already paid for.

I want this program to work, but it's looking more like Comodo TM all the time, unfortunately. Don't even get replies anymore when supplying info about problems.

I have enabled boot option of AX64.

As per Minitool, it creates app 286 MB file in System Reserved partition, is this correct?

How to delete files in System Reserved partition? My System Reserved partition now has only 1% free. It has 186MB file related to Android x86 that I had tried previously...would like to delete this & it will free space in System Reserved partition.

That File in the system reserved partition is probably the tracking file that ax64/fb needs.

Ok, I gave system reserve partition a letter & then removed Android x86 folder & freed up 176 MB space. And then removed back system reserve partition letter.

    Guess it doesn't remove it.

I had uninstalled FB & there was no change in the size of system reserved partition. At that time I didn't knew to check contents of system reserved partition. Now I know. So if I again remove FB will post the result here.
