I can confirm that its website is down at the moment. Btw, I am getting "System hidden file doesn't exist" errors in its log file(s). Here's a snippit of the latest log that contains them:

    Hi,

We will monitor other users comments and if there is a universal consensus it takes a longer time we will have to investigate further.

    Cheers,
    Waj

The web server is playing up. We are having a dialog with our host to get it running again. Sorry for the inconvenience. Should be up again soon I hope

Quick question: if I install this over the top of the previous beta, will it insist on creating a new baseline? If so, is there any way I can get it to continue with my old chain where the previous version left off?

My brief experience with beta 365, I'm on Win7 Ent, SP1:
    - the program loads on screen on system startup - this is not always welcome and should be allowed to load minimized
    - icon in systray doesn't change during backup
    - mounting backup doesn't work (doesn't load as a a new virtual drive), this feature just doesn't do anything on my PC since many later builds
    - warm restore could not have been tested - on clicking restore the system immediately rebooted, loaded the previously installed pre-OS module and... showed a message Beta Expired. On clicking OK the system got into rebooting loop loading again Beta Expired message. Needs tweaking...

    It should be fine.

I reinstalled Beta1 and snapped the system then reinstalled Beta2 and did the same... the incremental chain remained in place as it did with AXTM v1... no new baseline. But this DOES NOT HAPPEN if you unINSTALL previous version first. Settings: SOURCE and DESTINATION settings remained during reinstall but AUTOMATIC vs MANUAL did not. Hope this helps!

I have just tried the new version on a clean install but it was not a success - as follow:-

I like the interface which seems very clear.
    Backup time is the same

    Everything else is a disaster

Created boot USB stick but it fails to load ending up in a blue window - no cursor

Installed the boot option but that failed with "Windows\Sytem32\Drivers\Compbatt.sys" missing.
This also removes the Windows 8 graphical boot screen.

Tried to uninstall the option but the uninstall was greyed out. Installed a second time but still greyed out.

Tried to restore the backup but that failed with a corrupted system and would not boot. In fact so bad that it corrupted both partitions on the HD. Had to restore from alternative program to get a running system back again.

For now I have gone back to V1 as this this current one is unusable. No worries though as this is all part of beta testing.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the feedback so far. it's much easier to track and fix these issues fast when you send them through to info@ax64.com.

    Please:

    1. Describe your issue clearly. More information the better!
    2. Attach the logs.To do so, click on the backup tools tab, then click on the about icon. Here you can export your logs.

    Best regards,

    Waj

    Hi Selukwe,

Thanks for your feedback. We have been able to re-produce all the systray and mounting issues. Regarding expiration, have you applied the beta keys that I have shared with you?

    Please send through your logs.

    Thanks,

    Waj

Just curious, anyone not having any issues thus far with the new beta? Seems like many former enthusiasts are not all over this and reporting quickly as before.

My normal battery of tests on W7X86sp1 and W8.1x64upd1 has run just fine to date. Will be running some LOCAL and EXTERNAL (CD) WinPE RECOVERY tests later this AM... will report any anomalies.

    Did some more testing.

    1. Built the recovery CD. It automatically does a full image restore. Good

    2. Did a warm restore from GUI, first the traditional warm restore and secondly a full image. Both worked as they should

    3. Doing this a found another minor bug. The back description doesn't work.

Internal testing we are not picking up any major issues. Also, feedback received via mail is also generally minor (please do keep sending feedback and logs through!).

However, we are quite concerned with the odd behavior as reported by zfactor and djg05 above. We haven't been able to re-produce these issues so they have been difficult to diagnose. If other users face the same issues, please remember to e-mail us and attach your logs.

If the automatic backup is ON Timemachine minimizes when starting the computer, if the automatic backup is OFF Timemachine doesn't minimize when starting the computer.
Using the rescue media (flash drive) mouse pointer is shown immediately - and everything seems to work okay. However using the restore from within Windows, once the network screen shows it takes approximately 10 seconds before the mouse pointer shows. This problem was also in the first beta version also.

    Hello,

I just tested my first hot restore and it worked perfectly. USB rescue media created successfully and boots fine. No problems with the cold restore. Since I have not had any issues with hot restores, I have no need to test the warm restore function as hot and cold are all I really need in my case. I have not tested the full baseline restore yet and will try to in the next couple of days. So far (and it is just nitpicking) the only issue I have seen (and a very minor one at that) is the one I have previously posted about involving the displaying of the tray icon and tool tips.

(P.S. Testing so far done on a Windows 8.1.1 Pro 64 bit system)

    HI Waj

Just a note, I have not tested multi partition as it doesn't apply. Didn't notice is the hourly still tied to the partition stuff.
