    This isn't exactly an anti-malware software, but it's meant to help fight malware. so it makes sense to post here, in my opinion. But, if the moderators believe there's a more appropriate section, then please move it. I just believe it would have more exposure in this section. :thumb:

    That said, today I came across a TPL list for IE9, to help block malicious domains. I'm pretty sure you folks already know that a TPL won't stop you from directly accessing domains, but it will stop access if they're third-party.

    Can you say more about how this is implemented?

    That was exactly what I noticed. The user must click a JavaScript script/, where the TPL link should be placed. Unfortunately, the author forgot about this detail, so it seems.

    Something like this should be in the source code of the page:

    javascript:window.external.msAddTrackingProtectionList('http://support.clean-mx.de/clean-mx/rss?mode=TPL')

    That should work.

    This is what's in EasyPrivacy Tracking Protection List:

    Code:
    <a href="javascript:window.external.msAddTrackingProtectionList('http://easylist-msie.adblockplus.org/easyprivacy.tpl', 'EasyPrivacy Tracking Protection List')">Add EasyPrivacy Tracking Protection list to Internet Explorer 9</a>

    I found the link at Malware Domain List forum, provided by the TPL author. Maybe someone registered there will notice it and report it. I'm not registered there.

    You're welcome.

    I also noticed that someone brought to the attention of author the problem with the lack of the JavaScript script. Without it, no one can really use it. lol

    Let's see how fast the author of the TPL fixes this minor detail.

    It seems that the author still hasn't fixed the problem. But, I've found a way for you to be able to add the TPL list to IE9.

    1. Open Notepad or other text editor;
    2. Paste the following code:

    Code:
    <a href="javascript:window.external.msAddTrackingProtectionList('http://support.clean-mx.de/clean-mx/rss?mode=TPL', 'Clean MX TPL')">Add Clean MX Tracking Protection List to Internet Explorer 9</a>

    3. Save the file as *.html (I saved it as CleanMX.html.);

    The file should have the extension *.html, not the name itself. Just to be clear. :)

    4. Open the resulting *.html file with IE9;
    5. You should get a warning saying that IE9 is blocking scripts, so allow them and refresh the page. You should now get a hyperlink to add the TPL.

    6. It should now also automatically update, as it will be getting the data from the URL itself. But, just keep an eye on it, just to be sure.
