While browsing the Panda site for my bimonthly online activescan i noticed this Antivirus product

    http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/truprevent_personal2005/

It seems to work with other AV to give the benefits of Pandas AV on mcafee, norton AV.

I currently have Mcafee Enterprise, i like Pandas products as they have in the past found some very nasty things on my computer that MVE has alowed passed. Is this worth buying and what will it add to my system if i did. Also will it be a heavy memory strain

    Thanks
    Anthony

Tru prevent is sort of like a super hueristics. It can really slow down an older computer. It has been known to slow down some newer comps also.

And TruPrevent is still not as good as NOD's or DrWeb's heuristics.

Heuristics is a method used by AV engines to detect possibly unknown and new malware. This can be based on the developer's assumption of malware behavior, or on real-world malware observation.

Quite a few AVs do use this technology, some dont - For example Avast does not use heuristics except for email scanning.
