Running ESET SS beta 5. Windows 7 Pro I have set the firewall to interactive mode. I get this message popping up about 40,000 times a day. Always click DENY. "system home" (192.168.1.254) Source unknown. What is it I have no way of knowing if I should accept it. I believe I should have total control of what's going/coming on my puter.
Can you include a few screen shots of these messages and what was clicked or done to cause the window to be displayed? 192.168.1.254 is a default IP address for your router so including only that information doesn't help to narrow down the source of the issue or what/if the problem may be.
Hi Dwomack, I have attached a .txt file of the offending pop. I was not able to upload a .GIF file because of ESETs size restriction. I hope this will suffice. If not tell me what else I can do.
Based on the screenshot, it appears your system is trying to communicate with your router. I don't see any reason to deny this action. This would also explain why it's showing up 40,000+ times a day.
