Installs Windows INF files to properly configure many Intel motherboard chipsets.
The Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility installs the Windows* INF files. The INF files inform the operating system how to properly configure the chipset for specific functionality, such as AGP, USB, Core PCI, and ISAPNP services.
To find your chipset just hover your mouse on the left hand column where it says chipset this will then bring up another column which you then just hover your mouse over DESKTOP CHIPSETS You will then see your Intel desktop family chipset. You then just click on your family chipset which you will then be asked to select your operating system [ XP ] In my case. You will then be taken to your page for your driver download. Please read the Release Notes FIRST
PLEASE DO NOT CONCERN YOURSELF WITH THE DATE IN THE SCREEN-SHOT AS THIS IS JUST THE DRIVER DATE
ALSO PLEASE NOTE THIS DRIVER IS MICROSOFT CERTIFIED

On completion of your newly installed driver all you have to do is go into your registry by clicking on START/RUN and Typing in regedit and then scrolling down to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE AND THEN SCROLLING DOWN TO SOFTWARE THEN INTEL THEN OPEN THE HIVE INFINST. You will then see my screen shot which will tell you that you have been successful
