    Good day,

so far i figured out that you need a ram disk inorder to read xp into memory and run it from usb when using bartpe.
I think have read that you acutally are able to install from usb (iso-file) to the harddisk too, as log as you use that same ramdisk.

so you make the usb bootable (fat32)
Do you take pe2usb f: to copy your iso file to the stick(F)?
The iso can you make it with say nero right from the original dvd or do you have to take pebuilder?

Can someone please guide me to produce a usb that actually installs xp on the harddisk?

I would like to have an iso of win7 and vista to install to harddisk too.
The stick would be used to install a os on different pc's with grub4dos.

I am already aware that it isn't that simple to do.
    Thank you.

    Jand
