    I am having trouble and hope that someone else might now of some things I should try. I have purchased two copies of True Image home. The first installed just fine on a vista x86 home pro. The second almost gets all the way through and then undoes everything.

    The only thing (error) I can find is in the windows event log claiming the installation failed, then the next report is error status: 1603. I was able to figure out how to obtain the MSI file and run msiexec with /L* and get a file to report all errors. however the last few lines of this file basically say the same thing the even log does. Failed with error status 1603

    I did google the 1603 error and it sometimes implies no permission, but I am running with admin rights (after elevation) and have made sure I own and have full rights to where I think the program might try to install.

    I am using version 12.0.9709

    I am running out of ideas on what to try and where to look for more error messages.

    Matt,

    Welcome to the forum.

    I had exactly the same type of problem with all builds of TI 2009 prior to 9,709. So far, it has installed correctly every time for me.

    Have you tried the alternate methods in these threads?

    Hello mfeider67,

    Thank you for your interesting in Acronis True Image

    MD5 for build 9709 should be a8ff2cecb684c9a3693c09bc05f8e7c8

    Could you please do the following in order to check out the integrity of the installation package?

    - Download the checksum utility from http://www.irnis.net/files/xcsci.exe
    - Unpack and run the application and click on the ellipsis sign to browse and select the installation package you downloaded;
    - Click "Start" button;
    - The MD5 value for Acronis True Image Home 2009 (build number 9709) must be a8ff2cecb684c9a3693c09bc05f8e7c8

    If the MD5 value is not a8ff2cecb684c9a3693c09bc05f8e7c8 then you need to re-download the latest build.

    Best regards,
