    i am able to see okay today. hubby said i resembled a missile taking a nose dive. :D not a scrape on my knees or legs. really strange how a speed bump sends one into orbit ... visualizing yhis cracks me up laughing. what can i say i see the funny side of things but it hurts.

    *ouch!* *ouch!* :( That sounds like a nasty fall.

    Hope you are feeling better soon, Peaches, and no more testing those speed bumps.

    Those darn SpeED BUmps :D

    I hope when you recover, and next venture out on your bike ... you'll be generously bundled in Safety Wear ... unless of course you have designs on meeting Handsome MD again ;) LOL ... but please aim for minor injuries next time, nothing more than cuts and bruises

    Peddle safe :) and until then lots of {{HUGS}}

    Hey Peaches, remember that thread you started about winning it big? Maybe now is your chance to win really big. I hope it happened at Walmart. Yeah that's the ticket. They've got lots of money. :D

    well bj - it happened on a parking lot - no major stores there. no i was walking slowly and not riding a bike. win big? i will be lucky to be compensated for breakage of my RX sunglasses let alone body injury. i am not a vindictive person so still thinking on how to deal with this. knowing me i would probably donate them a gallon of concrete paint to prevent others from getting hurt. i would think the lot owners would have liability insurance. if not, collecting compensation would be like pulling hens teeth. :D my RCMP friend has given me a few hints from a police perspectve. one step at a time. ;)

    p.s. friday 13th is in fact a lucky day for me ....hmmmm o_O

    Hi folks and thank u all for ur caring thoughts. It was a great boost to my morale and much needed & appreciated. Special thanks to Ronjor for caring enough for an update. Many at Wilders have given me laughter and daily smiles each day - thank u.

    It took 10 weeks to have the cast removed from my right hand. Although the fractures healed, a breakage in the knuckles was still unhealed. The doc decided it was time to begin physiotherapy to get all fingers moving. It is presumed I will need 8 wks. of physio. I am half way there.

    I am still unable to make a fist nor am I able to use my fingers readily on my right hand to type as before though I do type a little with my right fingers as I feel it gets them exercised. It is amazing how we take it for granted when we go about our daily chores using both hands and then suddenly when one is disabled, how limited in activities one becomes. I still have some swelling for which I take anti-inflammatories as well as pain killers for pain. My face has healed but I still have a faint blue mark on my right cheekbone. The fractures are now healed. My chipped upper tooth has been fixed and I am currently waiting for a crown on my lower right molar - half of it had a clean break which went undetected until I bit into some toffee. Last but not the least both my doctor and therapist believe that I am develping arthritis in the injured hand as a result of the injury, which is what may account for the swelling, continual pain & slow results from therapy. Gawd, my therapist is handsome!! :D

    Right now I feel like it's "fix & repair daily". :D But hey, life goes on so I take things as they come, deal with it and move on. There's a bright side too - I get taken out to lunch & dinner more often. :D Luv it!! I am grateful I have no scarring or disfigurement so things are not as bad as they could have been.

    Luv http://img128.exs.cx/img128/7561/FlamingPeaches.gif
