Injury

This is a 1 finger hunt and peck typing - fell yesterday and broke my right hand. Will be in cast for approx, 6 wks. Face is also smashed and vision restricted mostlly right eye. have back injury as well. right cheek bone also fractured. tripped on an unmarked speed bump in parking lot, am not a very happy customer, Will visit Wilders daily but input will be limited for the next little while. the good side was that the emergency doc was handsome and what a thrill to have my hand held by him. FYI I currently look very smashing!

aww geez Peachy that stinks! Hope they gave you some nice pills to take the pain away!

Also hope you are all fixed up very soon, that's no fun.

Hi Peaches, hope you're doing better real soon.

And I hope that considering fairly serious (sounds like) facial injury, the docs had enough sense to do at least basic head-injury testing on you, CAT-scan and EEG. Just about any kind of impact to the head, from any angle, can have serious and unexpected results -- been there, done that.

Get well soon! Your injury reminds me why I no longer wear high heels. About ten years ago, I lost my footing on the landing in my garage. Ended up with a broken left ankle and a broken right wrist. I don't know which was worse, the broken bones or the battles I had with crutches as I needed to use both hands. Ultimately, I hopped around on one foot for about 6-8 weeks. Hope your up to speed soon.

wow - not one but two toy boys i'm feeling better already. i was not wearing high heels - sandals so there is no safe shoe. beggars painted the speed bumps when i was at the hospital. will give them benefit of a doubt that tis was done to prevent further accidents but not sure it is the case. suspect it was more to conceal evidence. have to think about this one and confer with our cop friend for his opinion.

 

So peachy, have you fully recovered already?
