    Hi:

I used to get small windows that would pop up every once in a while indicating that someone tried to install something on my computer. I am pretty sure they were created by SpywareBlaster. I don't see those anymore. Is this something previous versions of SpaywareBlaster did and no longer do? I have V3.2 installed. Thank you

    Hi Joe....:)

No, SpywareBlaster has never alerted on things, it just sets killbits in the registry and then it's done.

It is not active in any way until you update, install the new protection lists then shut it down again.

Maybe you were referring to Spybot Search and Destroy, where it blocks bad downloads in IE either silently, or it alerts you, or, another program you have entirely. :)

    Cheers, TAS

    Another thought.

Maybe you were referring to another of javacool's programs, SpywareGuard.

You can get alerts from that if you have it set that way.
