We use Acronis*True*Image*Server® with Acronis Universal Restore® version 9.1 (build*3,920) to backup our Exchange Server which is hosted on a W2K3 SBS.

The Exchange data store has grown to 44Gb which is not a problem BUT it appears that the daily incremental backup has significantly grown from 2Gb/day to 6Gb/day.

I believe the growth is due to the Exchange data store.

Clearly we are not getting 4Gb of mail per day so is there any way that we can reduce the size of the backup to be more managable? i.e. reduce the number of changed blocks in the exchange data store?

    Hello mschultz,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Please notice that depending on database activity the amount of data moved around can be large. Since Acronis True Image compares data on sector level, the incremental archives will be bigger even if data was only moved in sectors, but not changed.

    Thank you.
