Inbound Protection

    It really is the 1.2 version.

    When you click on the setup file it will say "Welcome to Harden-it version 1.2"... What's misleading here is that 1.0.1.3 label (in setup's property sheet) is probably the installer's version only.

    Don't worry, I will use Harden-It.
    Btw, just for checking purposes: home router firewalls do protect (in general) against 'attacks' from the outside/unsollicited and anonymous requests?

    That should be OK for an home PC.

    Where some change may be needed is if running server software.

    Do realsie that if you are running any type of server software and the changes you make do slow down connections for that application, then you can either change the settings back to the windows default, or change some settings from "workstation" to a higher setting of "server".

    I have not seen any problem (from other users who I have hardened their systems) when they play on-line games or use torrent clients etc, but not all users are the same, and do use different software and may have a need for many more half open connections etc.
