Excuse me, but that website is a website that implanted a browser hijacker on my old computer a few years ago! I still remember it very clearly.
That romantic-lyrics site is owned by another spyware site called: hxxp://www.thefreespot.com

I don't believe I'm wrong, I remember that website and what it did to my old computer... about 5 years ago I visited it and it popped up some strange window and bombed me with tons of spyware.

    READ THIS THREAD:

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=18062

If you study the contents of that website carefully, it has links to some spyware/malware! If you click on contact, the address links to lyrics@thefreespot.com ( WARNING: thefreespot.com is a suspicious site, please DO NOT click on that link.)

    Thanks for the warning nadirah,

A few minutes after you posted this and after visiting that link from Lurkerella,
got alert window pop up from Spybot SD warning me of some value added, if I want to allow this. 2 x. In my panic I denied of course. I never got any message like that without doing anything !
Then I get this Windows Update messages that updates are almost ready with
download progress going on and computer will restart soon ?!o_O I never even allowed it to be downloaded automatically !!!

Could be all just coincidence of course, but what you said in your post makes me wondering.

Which browser are you using? If I guess wildly, you are using Internet Explorer.
    Right?
I'm using firefox so even when I visit that site, I'm still safe.

I hope nadirah is not scaring you too much. I would suggest you delete all cookies and all tempery Internet Files, just incase there is anything nasty in their. I would then run ad-aware by lavasoft and spybot search and destroy, just to check there are no nasties in your registry.

I have disabled the links to the romantic-lyrics site.

Just as a reminder to everyone, even though good intentions are meant, please do be extra careful what links you post, and also what links you click on during popular holiday times. ;)

    Regards,

    snap

I would like to know/find out if anyone else who unfortunately went to the site had experienced anything different or suspicious.

I deleted cookies and temp files...and Prevx went crazy !

    What is LOADHTTP.DLL ?

I know, this belongs in some other thread, but since it "may" have something to do with those links ?

Also had Adaware (found nothing) and Spybot scan and delete all what was found. Still that automatic Win Update pop up keeps showing up.

I'm still surprised that win update would do on it's own without my Permission !
