If you're running the latest version of ZoneAlarm, I think there is a conflict there as well.

Just to put my two cents worth in. I am using ZA v. 6.1.737.000 (free version) and don't have any conflict with Nod32 at all.

    So, have you read:
    ?

Based on those, sounds like if PP loads after NOD32, it might not interfer with NOD32.

edit: For delete of my install settings of a free Startup Manager: StartRight.

It played funny with startup when tried StartRight 'Restore' which was supposed to return to startup as before installed,
    made settings in StartRight.

Some programs, including NOD32, did *not* start!

So, as had created a WinXP restore point before installing StartRight, used WinXP to restore back to point before install of StartRight.

If can delay startup of PP, may work with NOD32.

Question: Is there a setting in PestPatrol to choose whether to start it with Windows or not?

If PP doesn't have a setting to not start with Windows, I cannot recommend the following unless I first tried it myself with PP, which I do not have installed right now.

Re this, read some of the 'User Opinions' re double entries, etc.
    http://www.snapfiles.com/opinions/Startup_Delayer/Startup_Delayer.html

Sounds like above program should work even if not a setting in PP to start or not start with Windows, but that might be a bit more tricky.

But, if you can make a setting in PP to have it not start with Windows, could then use
    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/startdelay.html
    http://www.snapfiles.com/screenshots/startdelay.htm
    http://www.r2.com.au/software.php?page=2&show=startdelay&PHPSESSID=b60f64a4639193c7280ceaabc1f30a21
to start it and set a startup delay in seconds.

If the delay does not work by itself, may have to do the:
"In PestPatrol I excluded the IMON.DLL file in Windows\system32"
    also.

Might even want to try that (only) first?

    PestPatrol sounds good!
So, will probably try above myself this evening. Off to work now. Not old enough to be retired :'(
