Since switching to nod32, I've noticed that many programs conflict with Imon such as Avant broswer, Bitorrnado, and Winamp. I have put these programs into the exclusion list and configured these programs for better compatibilty in the slider but I still find that Avant and/or W98 hang at least 2-3 times a day. I am experimenting with disabling imon altogether. How important is imon in the protection of my pc and is there something I could do to configure Imon to work better? Thanks for any advise.

try reinstalling the winsock, then trying IMON again, thats my suggestion.

Remove all network items, such as protocols, adaptors and clients etc.

Removed the associated registry keys (Not recommended for inexperienced users), the correct keys to remove can be found by searching the Ms support site.

Then re-install the network items again,

Is there no other Winsock area's to remove is there??

Or am i barking down the wrong track?

At least Winamp must be set to higher compatibility mode which is required for any streaming media players.
