Lol ;) First of all, I am no more associated with IP then you are. The quote posted above is from the IP forum and is for public viewing. I know some of the answers but prefer at this point to say, that the best way to stay up to date on the next version is to go here and you will find a ton of information.

Actually I hear that ETHOS is the trouble maker.;)

Also keep in mind, each engine is different and the cool thing is, you will be able to configure them to meet your needs.

Yeah, but the local scanner, TETRA, will do the hard work, determining what files will be scanned by the cloud and what shouldn't, right? I just don't want Immunet to do the same mistake as PCAV did by missing _a lot_ of files I _knew_ were malicious. :) Better safe than sorry, eh?

No, but waiting like a child does on christmas before you rip off the paper of the presents.

I already got 3 emails, the first from 2 hours ago :S

The 3rd mail was a direct link in case the first didn't get through, so I'll assume it's all right if I post it here:

    EDIT:
    Asked Al for permission

Weren't we pre-release tester supposed to test different parts of the program? I'm not sure it's so wise to post a direct link to the pre-release beta in here.
Furthermore, the pre-release version 2.0 won't detect any threat. :) I'm not sure that function is even activated yet. As a matter of fact, nearly all functions of the program have been de-activated. So I'm sitting here waiting for instructions on how to proceed with whatever testing "Al" wants me to do. :)

I've asked Al about the link and removed it until I get an answer.
There are some instruction videos on the forum and in one it was mentioned that people will get a key to test the Pro version in the second week of testing :)

    One bad point:
There is an Ask toolbar in the installer..

Yeah, I freaked me out of my mind. Ask toolbar really sucked, and there was no possibility to opt it out!
I am waiting for Al's e-mail... but you seem to be the only one who've gotten it.

BoerenkoolMetWorst, have you got Immunet 2.0 to detect any threat at all? I've even gone so far as I tested Eicar-test-file but no reaction whatsoever from Immunet. It seems totally deactivated.
