When using the IMAP scanning function in version 5.0.2126 on an XP system, with Mozilla Seamonkey as the mail client, some attachment files are corrupted.
When the user clicks on a Word document attached to the message, Word issues an error that the file cannot be converted. Similar errors for Excel and PDF attachments.
It does not happen all the time. No virus alerts or other Eset messages are displayed during this.

Disabling IMAP scanning resolves the issue.
Is the IMAP scanning modifying the data stream, and if so, why?
Can this be related to the data stream corruption mentioned in the stickies?
The mentioned KB fixes do not exist for XP so they are not present on our systems.
