We are trying to image a Server running 2008 R2 -- going from RAID hard drives to RAID SSD drives. The SSD drives have less space. However there is plenty of free space on the partitions. We can backup the disk successfully with DB9. However when we try to re-image onto the smaller SSD drives it doesn't restore the partitions. No error, they just show unallocated after the imaging. If we try to do a separate partition restore, it says "this is not a partition backup". We have DB10 also, but acts the same. Is there a trick to getting this to work?
