Image won't boot: NTLDR Not Found

    I'd be really interested to hear if Tom's link fixes your problem. Easier than reinstalling WinXP.

    I had tried this approach last week and it didn't work. After resolving the missing NTLDR problem, the next message on reboot was "Missing or Corrupt HAL.DLL". It was this file existing just fine on the C Drive, but not on the D drive which led me to the conclusion that the registry has other references to what Windows calls the "boot drive".

    Reinstalling XP as I submit reply ...
