hi sometime i use an imac and macook and macbook pro , is there a image software trustworthy ? under windows i use image for windows/linux and macrium reflects and how can i perform an offline restore ? what do you suggest ? thanks
If you google, you are always told to use Super Duper! or Carbon Copy Cloner. In reality, these are all lame. The best all around disk imaging software for Win/Linux/Mac is the free Clonezilla live USB. Download the "alternative stable" branch (based on Ubuntu), AMD64 ISO, then use Rufus to make a boot USB. Use UEFI disk layout for UEFI systems. I tested personally on both my iMac and MBP, and the live USB works great. Best of all: it allows you to perform a clean offline backup and restore of the entire OS.
