"adding" information to a photo is rarely satisfactory
the best you can hope for is a "sharpening" algorithm\filter
but its not going to provide the missing detail, the information simply isnt there
(its not like what is so commonly done on TV shows)

the first photo has alot of "noise" in it already and has seen lossy compression
you could spend days photoshopping it, but in the end it would be more an illustration of a photo than a photo.

The second image is pretty much in the same boat but was out of focus to start with, however it has seen less compression. Its rarely worth working from images this far degraded of information if there is an original at a higher resolution. I would assume such a photo exists for the first shot.

Hey maddawgz, I gave them a try, I resized, enhanced
and sharpened the colours of the first picture and then I
sharpened and enhanced the hues of the wedding picture.
I also made the withes wither than they were and I blacken
the suit of the groom in order to compliment the bride's wedding gown.

    I hope you'll like it.:)

I did not know if you wanted to get rid of the letters in the girl's pic
    so I let them there.
