    Hello

    Yesterday I bought TrueImage 9.0 (German / build 2.293)
Normally i only use the Rescue-CD to backup and restore. I use an external USB2-HDD for the backup-files.

At the end of the Backup-Process TI says that the resultet image-file contains errors :'( , but the verification-function of TI says that the image-file is OK!

Can i be sure that the image-file is really OK?

The image-file has as size of 57GB and contains 2 complete physical HDs. i thought Windows XP can manage only 2GB per file? Can this be the problem?

Sorry for my not perfectly english! :doubt: :D

    1. This is a known issue in English builds of TI before build 2302 when booting from the CD

    2. Use check disk from within Windows as well as the CD

    3. I believe this is a restriction of the Fat 32 system, if your external drive is formatted in NT system it doesn't apply, someone will correct me if I am wrong

    Your English is OK

    Hi
chkdsk also can't find any errors on the USB-HDD where the image is stored. I also testet the USB-HDD with the "Western Digital Data LifeGuard Diagnostics" Tool, also without errors.

    3. I only use NTFS on all drives and partitions.

    Oh thanks! :D

Where can i download the build 2302? The Update-Page tells that 2293 (wich i'm using) is the latest build.

Now i deleted the image and i'm recreating the image with 2GB-Splits.

OK, the Backup with splitet files is done, but also with the same error at the end of creating as before.
Now i tried to plug the image as a virtual drive and i could open it and see the whole content, without any errors!

Now i createt a backup from an internal HDD to an imagefile on another internal HDD (no USB-HDD used), also with the same error! That proves, that the problem has nothing to do with the USB-HDD! :doubt: o_O

I've done it again. But first i reactivated the "Legacy USB Support" parameter in the BIOS and used the save-mode of the Rescue-CD. And now, IT WORKED!!! :-* :D

It seems, that TrueImage9 has a problem with its own drivers?
Unfortunately it's very slow in the save-mode! :'(

I hope this will be fixed soon.

I am sorry, my reply in 2. above should have said check image not check disk,
use the check image wizard from TI within windows.

There are other German posters asking when build 2302 will be released, Acronis have stated "in the next few days" this was some day's ago so if you haven't already check for updates on the Acronis site

In any event it looks as though your images are ok

I wanted to know it, so i deletet the whole internal HD and restored it with the image on the USB-HD i've made. It was successful! :)

It seems, that the error-message at the end of the Image-process is false? I've done both, image-creation and restoring with the rescue-cd of TI9.

    Hi

Ist bei dir denn auch beim Abschluss der Image-Erstellung die Meldung, dass das Image mit Fehlern erstellt wurde, aufgetaucht?
