    Will Eset ever integrate an IM scanner into their products as other antivirus programs have?

    that only takes care of files not the messages in general. but I was wondering how to get the scanner to work with files.

    The scanner parameters that Cudni posted does scan files, I suggest you revisit the information and set it up and see if it works for your unspecified IM Client.

    Malicious URLs sent via instant messaging are caught by web access protection when launched in a web browser.
