I have dual boot on my computer: W98SE and W XP.
The program installs OK in W XP, but when I try to install it in W 98SE, and try
to run the program, I get the following error message:

    "Spywareblaster
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor."

    These are the details:
SPYWAREBLASTER caused an invalid page fault in
    module KERNEL32.DLL at 016f:bff7b9a6.

    Any suggestions?
Is it not designed to run on W 98?
I found that usually, when I try to install a program in W 98 which is designed
specifically for W XP, it refuses to install.

    Thanks!

    Hi John, ;)

    Welcome to Wilders'

Which version of Spyware Blaster are you using? 3.2 -or- 3.3?

There was an issue that affected some machines with Win 98 and SB 3.2, I'm not sure if version 3.3 corrected this issue or not. But if you see these search results, some of the threads maybe of help to you. -> https://www.wilderssecurity.com/search.php?searchid=352790

As far as a technical information regarding this issue, Javacool will have to speak to that.

    Steve

PS. I moved your post from the General Forum to the Spyware Blaster Support Forum, as the issue regards Spyware Blaster.

    Hi Steve:

    It is v 3.3

Also, as suggested in another thread in this forum, I installed Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 SP5 run-time.

    Still no go.

He will respond here. ;) Javacool reads all of the threads here, he is however a very busy man, so please give him a few days to respond. It's quite possible someone else will post a work around/fix for you, but because it's a rare problem it won't come quickly either.
