I'm looking for antivirus that can be installed on a Windows 2003 Web Server.

Most vendors seem to have a more expensive server specific version of their product, but I noticed that Ikarus Antivirus works on Server 2003 and 2008.

I did a quick search and found most of the hits relate to Emsisoft, which seems to have a really good reputation but doesn't list Windows Server 2003/2008 in system requirements.

So, is anyone using Ikarus and what's your feedback?

Being a server this box spends its life at the CTRL-ALT-DEL prompt and I've found that quite a few products seem to work best in "interactive" mode at the desktop.

Too quick. Hopefully you're more thorough with your servers. :cautious:

In VB100's June 2011 tests on Windows Server 2008 R2, Emsisoft and Ikarus had identical on-access, on-demand and RAP detections. But both failed due to 1 FP.

Note that Emsisoft includes their anti-malware engine running parallel with the Ikarus engine.
