Easy to enable, just like OpenDNS ;) - but is there something which speaks for which of those is the "best" alternative? I simply can't tell since what I've read about COMODO's offering are just empty words - no technical details on how it accomplishes it.

yep, thats the same reason im cautious about this DNS service from them, but w/e im not using it so not my prob, stick to OpenDNS which has always worked wonders

the thing that bothers me is Comodo seems to think they can do all and create a product for everything u can think of and do it better than the people who have been in that perticular field of software for years, eventually im sure ill see Comodo branded toaster ovens...

    Using XP Professional 32 bit.

Netopia router with hardware firewall + Windows firewall on.
LUA, SRP, WinPatrol (free), Sandboxie (free), Malwarebytes (free) on-demand.
    Updates set to notify only.

    IE 7 with IE 7 Pro add-on.
Tools/internet options/privacy/custom/advanced/override automatic cookie handling/block third party cookies/always accept session cookies.

Following a browsing session, I empty the sandbox and also run CCleaner.

I also fall in no-AV category. My setup is -

    Look'n'Stop firewall
Malware Defender - used occasionally (doesn't run at startup)

    Cheers,

I have a Comodo in my bathroom, and there's also one in the men's room at work.
(I assume the ladies are equally accommodated in their restroom).

Not too far away here; two pieces of software - an light and effective AV (P-CAV right now) together with sandboxing (GeSWall, which I'll probably keep for a long time as it suits how I operate and manage). :D

I could run just a HIPS like MD, but HIPS is simply NOT what suits me. Now I'm basically running super-light and without any prompts - and I feel safer than ever. :D

cool:thumb: to be honest it feels fast and less trouble:D if you know what you are doing you can just keep one security software from one vendor and be safe/secure:thumb:

DW, Prevx, Winpatrol plus, F-secure (firewall only, I'll ditch it when DW 3.0 with firewall is ready)

P.S: In my test I've seen, that Winpatrol is still quite usefully detecting most attacks when AV:s miss them.

I am only running Prevx on 3 computers now and feel anything else is a waste of money and resources. One day, folks will learn.

PX is great, but not totally watertight. I have seen it to miss some executing 0-day malware. Everything but DW is extra.
