IE7 is not an improvement IMO, you can´t customize it, it uses more resources, does not render pages any faster, plus it still has a couple of annoying bugs causing some sites to not look or work correctly. Also, it´s a shame that they did not implement any cool new features like "Fit page to width" for example. So at the moment I´m sticking with IE6.

I prefer having IE7 as the IE I almost never use, over IE6 as the IE I almost never use. I think there will be a lot of people in that category. So far, I like IE7 better in pretty well every category—especially tabs, apparent security, and its nice clean appearance when it is set to about:blank as a default Home. I much prefer not using IE7 to not using IE6.

IE7 is better overall:thumb: . Microsoft is catching up, slowly.
Still, i use it to communicate with Microsoft only. Updates and such.

I installed IE7 but it just didn't do it for me. I didn't care for its GUI and it just seemed slower than v6, so I removed it. I'm back to using IE6 (with Maxthon).

pvsurfer - You say IE7 was slower. How long has it been since you cleared your cache? I installed IE7 and played with the settings to get it like I want it, and cleared the cache, temps, and cookies. It's a tad faster than IE6 for me. It still ain't FF. :)

I clear cache every day before shutting down. And you are right that IE is no FF, but I just can't get the text-size right with FF.

To change the text size you go to Text Size in the toolbar, and click
Control ++ for bigger, and Control +- for smaller text. ;)

Btw, another thing that´s bugging me, they did not implement an "instant back/forward" function. Basically, the IE engine has hardly been improved. :cautious:

I am still using IE6. I just wanted to make sure there were no major bugs. I am thinking of upgrading though.

    Hello,
I see no reason to move from one bag of problems to another. As if I ever use it.

IE7 is x5 better than IE6 which i completely hated and only used unless i had to, but i 'personally' have no problems using IE7.

I upgraded, if that's a proper term, to IE-7 (IE's not my default browser). I don't see any huge improvement, but going back's more trouble than it's worth so I'll just leave it in, what the heck.

One thing I would have liked to have seen would be an option to retain "classic" toolbar setup, so you're still working with the same toolbar as in 6.

I Use IE7, IE7 is lots better then IE6 Security wise. Since its final release there has only been found 2 or 3 offical security flaws which is pretty good as far as microsoft goes. Also those security flaws arn't that much of a big deal, As they are only potential phishing bugs. Which by the way has not been Patched To my knowledge. :shifty:
