    Re: IE Or FireFox

I used Opera along side FF for a while trying to decide which one to keep with IE. I found Opera to be geared to the teen/college age people more than mature folk. You can see it in the layout of the Community section, forums, and general atmosphere. Not that there's anything wrong with that, due to the fact there is a large youth crowd out there, but for a senior citizen (I hate that handle) it made me lean toward FF. I think FF is the bomb!:D

IE looks like FF before you give it a new theme, and without any extensions.:p

generally employ Firefox on both the Windows and Linux boxes
also occasionally use Konqueror and Opera

But prefer Firefox w\ noscript and a host of other useful extensions
on the Windows boxes IE is either ripped out with XPlite or nLite or its locked down with a noaccess.rat

Firefox hands down for me, extensions allow you to add any functionality you want/desire ... without having any extra functionality you don't want included by default, while Opera and Seamonkey are nice packages they include a lot of stuff I don't want.

The more I use IE7, the more I like it. Besides its new tabbing feature (admittedly, that's nothing new to FF/Opera users), I find it operates more smoothly and browses faster than IE6 (I just wish it would have retained the Mail button functionality of IE6). :thumb:

    this forum is biased!
i agree 100% with that, always hated IE 6 and used to use firefox and opera depending on my mood, but now its IE7 all the way, its alot better and surfing is quicker and not one problem with it since it was released.

Every software has bugs, you just don't find them always. So Opera has also bugs.
I'm using FF constantly, never noticed anything bad.
FF + Thunderbird allow me at least to move their profile folder easily to my data partition in order to keep all my personal settings, emails and email-address-books, when my system partition is seriously corrupted by a legitimate software attack or a malware attack and needs to be restored with an out-of-date image.

Voted Opera but also love the Fox.

Opera with Proxomitron deadly combo. Nothing gets past through them.

    Nice poll!
