    Hi,
after installing SpywareBlaster the IE toolbar askink if you want to install "Active X" objects does not appear anymore..
I'd like to have that option back without uninstalling SB.
    Is that possible?
    Regards

To turn on the Information Bar for ActiveX controls, go to Internet Options > Security tab, press 'Internet', then 'Custom Level'

In the ActiveX controls and plug-ins section of the list, under Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls, click "Disable".

Click OK, then OK again, Close all browser windows, and restart IE.

    That should do it.

Thansk but it did not help, only desabling SB helps to get it back.
    Other suggestions?
    Regards

..if I uncheck the "explorer protection" option in SB everything is fine.
I got the toolbar in IE back. As soon the "protection" is enabled again a window pops up but the "active X" tool bar does not show...
I cannot find any setting making it work even if protection is enabled..
    Regards

But it shouldn't interfere with the IE Information Bar.

    Maybe Javacool has the solution.

Javacool does monitor this forum, and chances are he'll drop by some time later.
