Here is a link to a web cast starting tomorrow at 10:30 PST announcing the IE9 Public Beta. Hopefully there will be live download links too :)

No ofcourse not, damn old operating system. Microsoft already announced long ago it won't support XP, just like the new Live products won't. Good job in my opinion.

A very good step up imho. Bing search suggestions in the One Bar are awesome; I can just type "[insert city here] weather" to get the current weather and forecast right in the dropdown.

The Firefox 4 betas have nothing on this. Using IE is fun once again!

Anybody know how to force IE9 to remember last session after re-open browser?

Is it necessary to accept an ATDMT tracking cookie to download this or something? I'm getting Prevx SafeOnline blocking from hosts-file saying "High-risk website is blocked by hosts file" referring to -http://view.atdmt.com/action/.....etc which I gather has an advertising association with Microsoft.
    Can anyone clarify this, please?

The weather thing already works in the search bar in IE8. Which I prefer, as I don't yet see where I can use any search provider but Bing here.

Overall I am disliking the dumbed down interface and will not be using this on anything but test machines. :thumbd:

Most of the UI defaults can be changed. I prefer to see the status bar and the favorites bar. It is fairly configurable. The tear off tabs/aero snap feature is nice. I don't generally open many tabs, but I just opened eight and the titles are still readable. The tab bar doesn't wrap though. For folks that open many more they will probably want to have multiple windows open. Over all it feels a lot faster than IE 8 which I occasionally needed to use. For that reason alone it's a big improvement.

actually running very nice here. the ui is def not that bad and as said above its MUCH faster than ie8 was. everything seems to work very well for it being a beta also.

question i have is when they update the beat will we get a update notice or will we have to reinstall on top of this one?? anyone know yet?

You will need Vista SP1 or higher if I recall correctly.
