i don't think you can uninstall IE, it's part of windows. you just install version 7, and it replaces 6.

Yes, that is true, IE7 just becomes your IE. Problem being if IE6/5 is not your 'default' browser, then make it so, as least for the install. The install d/loads a piece, and while installing that piece, it jumps off (using the default browser) for more stuff. Then, if you're not using IE (version whatever) for your default browser it gets lost. I had to start over once making IE my default browser (I had almost forgotten how. :D ). I am trying it on one computer at home (I have two) and it's sort of neat, doesn't exactly work like FF, but close. Once I learn it I may install it on the other computer.

I'm back to FF as my default browser, but I have IE7 as an Icon and use it somewhat frequently. Use your search engine and 'IE7 testing' for some gotchas.

    Enjoy.

I am running IE7 Beta 2 and downloaded it direct from Microsoft.

My default browser was Firefox and I did not need to make any changes at all.

If you want to set IE as your default browser, click START....click Set Program Access and then Custom and make your changes.

Hope you like IE7 as much as I do.:)

Since IE 7 Beta 2 is official now, they should provide full support, try to ask, maybe they help.

Microsoft is offering free telephone support for users of IE 7 Beta 2. So you might want to give that a shot.

    Hi Trooper,
I know the problem now, for me to download IE7 I would have to change something in the registry. That is a no go area for me.I beleave this bug will be fixed in the final release, or in the next beta.Telephone support only available in Germany, Japan, and someware else.
    Badcompany.

Ps. Sorry for the late reply.
