    Hi Terry.

    Run Windows in safe mode.

And after that send (support(at)icoresoftware.com) log file:
    Program Files\iCore Software\icore.log

    Thanks!

It is operating system level virtualization.
This virtualization infrastructure completely devoid of a hypervisor. Having no hypervisor eliminates the need for driver emulation. So there is a way to direct work with processors, video cards and other hardware without violating the isolation of virtual machines. Getting rid of driver emulation means full use of hardware power.

But inside iCore virtual environment you can install and use only applications, so you can't install system software.

    thanks

Problem is detected and corrected. Thanks.

Double click ctrl+alt+del on "Windows welcome screen". It should appear form. Fill the necessary
    data (login and password).

After that you can try to "regedit" and disable iCore.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\icore
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\icsrv

    Change to 4(which means off).

    Thanks.

PS New version will be release.

I tried to install iCore Virtual Accounts 2.5.1.165 several times without success. Error reads:

I turned on fast user switching, disabled Rising Anti-Virus and Online Armor Firewall, turned off Hotspot Shield. Internet connection works fine for everything else including Microsoft Windows updates (wireless and wired both).

I'm using a HP Compaq laptop with WinXP/SP3 and plenty of RAM and free space. My version of Windows XP is not generic OEM -- HP added few of their own drivers to it... but that's not a connectivity problem...

Any news on this app? I see they have removed their blog for some reason, and lately it´s staying awfully quited. But anyway, I have found another similar tool (see link), but I have no clue about how to make this one work in a virtual machine, any volunteers? ;)

I must say that the technology behind these kind of apps is very interesting, but I have a feeling that it might be too difficult to implement it into a stable app. I hope that such a feature will be implemented in Windows 8, I think only M$ with their knowledge of the OS kernel will be able to pull it off.

    Hi

In response to the post by Rasheed187.

I think the principle of icore is fine, BUT over the last two or three years they seem to have taken an inordinate amount of time to progress.

Let me tell you I have over this same amount of time tried to install icore on my system four times. Each time, has not produced a viable installation.

Feedback to the developer has always produced a response, and they have always found the problem, BUT it takes an inordinate amount of time for a new release to solve that problem. Sometimes months.

I wonder if they are serious. I wonder also if it is a schoolboy/university project in its/their sparetime.

So far not impressed, and its not, definitely not ready for prime time.

    Regards

    terry

    Hi All,

I have joined this forum recently.

Yesterday, I installed iCore Virtual Accounts
on a Win XP SP2 Home edition.
Installation went fine but after re-starting
the machine when I try to login to one of the
virtual accounts - it seems to hang
    while giving a message like

    "New services are being started....."

The machine just hangs there and I have to
    force shutdown (using shutdown button)
    to close it

I have fast user switching enabled in my system

Has anybody faced this problem in iCore VA ?

Does anybody know if iCORe VA depends on any other Windows services ?

    Thanks in Advance
    Rohit

    Hi there.

Does Icore conflict with snapshot utilities such as RollbackRX,CTM ?
