Is it compatible with Windows 98? It just details on their website that it works in Windows platform.

    Never mind.
    I found it.

I just had to not be lazy for once and look it up on Google  , which I did.
And NO, it isn't compatible w/ Win98 like other rootkit scanners.

Reference (for compatibility of rootkit scanners for Win9X)
    http://www.neowin.net/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t405012.html

On the other hand, the new release of SpySweeper 4.5 (compatible w/ Win98SE) does prevent rootkits.
I don't know yet if it can SCAN for them as well as prevent them or its effectiveness. Also, don't know the type of rootkit it can prevent (hook, global, kernel, user, whatever.) I've yet to try and I'll post a followup.

    Happy Holidays to all!
