Is this ok to delete? Or will it mess up the computer?

Since we don't have enough information and since you don't complain about problems , I'd ingore it.

Delete it to the recycle bin, and in the event you have a problem (unlikely) you can restore it.

i can assure you, that it is SAFE to delete if you no longer have the pre-installed mcafee on your machine, i did the same with my dell.

If you no longer use this and if it annoys you , then you have the green light to delete it

"This software identifies your computer's hardware components, displays configuration information recorded in your computer by Dell, and indicates your operating system's available resources. It's all there in one easy to read profile. "

I never bothered to look in that Dell file until now. I do recall deleting the McAfee file but I didn't look at the other stuff. What is ecenter.exe and driverreset.exe? I didn't even realize the owner's manual was in this folder. I have a real paper one so I never looked for it on the computer. ecenter requires IE to start and I don't want to do that just to see what it is as starting IE will mess up Winamp. Anyone know what those are? Why would I need a driverreset tool (that I didn't even know was there)?

Mine is present in the Start Menu; Programs>Dell Utilities>Dell Accessories>Driver Reset Tool

This tool allows you to repair/reset the drivers for your system. If a Driver is corrupted for example, it will attempt a repair. Further information here.

IE (ActiveX) is only required for Dell to see your Current Configuration,
entering your Service Tag will do for most all else on Firefox, including Original System Configuration.

I would not bother with "Driver Reset Tool" unless there was a problem that could not be solved by 'less automatic' methods. :)
