    Hello,

I am preparing something that users will like. I need to contact some companies. I need the email addresses of probably the following companies (Head of AV Labs would be good), if someone knows them please tell me them or mail me it or PM me. The addresses I think to still need are:
Ahnlab, ArcaVir, CA (Jakub Kaminski), Fortinet, Hauri, ClamWin, QuickHeal and VirusBuster.
    Thx in advance!

    Regards,
    IBK

~Mod note to posters: Please do not post the e-mail address in a post.
E-mail or PM IBK the info requested
    ....Thanks, Bubba~

For ArcaVir you can always contact Mariusz Sasinski from Stormbyte support at support@stormbyte.com

Or you can PM him, his Wilders' user id is 'stormbyte'.

I had an email for the main guy at CAT QuickHeal. However they specifically told me that nobody is "Authorized" to test their product unless you sign a contract with them and provide them the testbed prior to test.

Thats a bunch of nonsense if i've ever heard it. No wonder it scores 30% detection on some independant tests i've seen.

I'd love Firefighter to get ahold of CAT Quickheal and prove this.

I tried to call them but they ignored me as I didn't use their product.

Thanks for letting me know about this; I will spare time by not testing them :).

Would you mind testing MicroWorld eScan? It uses the KAV engine. I can give you contact details of many key personnel of their company.

No, sorry, I am not interested in eScan, as it uses the KAV engine and has similar results and for what I am planning to do it is not of interest. Anyway thx.

Yes, but it will be not a test as the usual I deliver - it will be just a little overview. The conditions for the main/regular tests are still valid.

    thx!

I have now finished to test all products. As I always said, most of the other products does not even detect 85% of our test-set on-demand and due this they are not included in our regular tests. Other reasons are that some products crashes or hangs or simply take ages to scan win32 malware. I will put it online probably next week; I hope users will then understand that the products we included are really already a selection of very good scan engines and that there is no need to ask us for the inclusion of other products. As only few companies reached 85%, I think there is no need to contact all companies. If they do not want to see their name listed, they can ask me to remove it.

It is online now (under the comparatives). In the next days I will notify the companies if I find time for that.

I see no new tests, only the one done last month. What are you referring to?

Follow the directions given here, the link is on the Comparatives page, it's just not that obvious.
