I need some help! please

    hello i'm new in the forums, and i hope it will help me somehow, well
    i have a problem with my browser, the homepage keeps on changing to a stupid search engine and i can't get rid of it, i change it ,but each timei turn off my computer and tur it back on the web page still in there, so can somebody tellme how to get rid of it, or a good, free program that will help me
