I just paid $60 and got myself Webroot Internet Security Complete 2011 however I have two months left of a Symantec Lic on the pc I want to install this solution. So my questions is:
If the version 4 of Prevex/Webroot product gets released then will I obtain a free upgrade to that or will I be stuck with Webroot Internet Sec Complete 2011 and not the newest option? Main reason for asking is that I still have few days to return the package.

Also if it indeed provides a free upgrade then to which solution will the Internet Sec Complete apply? (providing that it's the current highest security solution offered by webroot)?

Was told by Sales that it will be upgradable to the new version of software that includes prevex but they are unsure if it will be free or not.

Since unless any more conclusive info comes out within the next day or so then I might as well return this software and install the free COMCAST Norton 360 V5.

Or you can sign up for the Beta? http://www.webroot.com/customerSupport/betaRegistration.php Then when things settle down then you can decide!

Yes was thinking about it but the soultion is not for me.
It's something I want to provide for my relatives. It's a solution that in my opinion was offering the best bang for the buck.
I do not want to be deluged with "help" call when it comes to a beta product.

I initially purchased the 2011 lic since it seemed like a good deal with high probablity of free upgrade to the more robust prevex version. However, as you said until things settle down it would be hard for me to keep the product.

Understood as most things are unknown at this time and I was hoping Webroot support would give you a better answer! ;) Just use the freebies until Webroot SecureAnywhere gets sorted in due time!
