I just activated Cinnamon on Mint 12 and I love it!

I just activated Cinnamon on Mint12 and I love it!

1. The wallpaper changer that I had been using in Gnome 3 works without any problems.

2. The whole Desktop (and everything in it) responds significantly faster than Gnome3.

So far no problems- This is a keeper for sure!

 

Cinnamon is good alternative to mate and look more stable to me than mate which version are you using .....?

I just Downloaded / Installed it so I would guess that it is the most recent version- Any idea how to determine the version?

 

Should be 1.2. Check under software manager.

 

Loving it now! Thanks for starting this thread I didn't even know about it before hand.

 

I installed it and it seems to be active as it shows it selected on the logon screen but nothing looks different. I think my Mint VM is messed up. Glad to hear everyone likes it. Maybe I will recreate my VM and try again.

 

Do that and you will not regret it.

Downloaded it yesterday. I does seem to be a bit more responsive. I like it.
