I noticed "T-Online Update-Client" blocked in Norton Personal Firewall. I must have read the name and thought it was some program wanting to autoupdate without permission, which I suppose, is what it is technically.

The actual product is made by MTg “Media Transfer Ag” in Germany
    Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\e9b0377463edd4b6480f6148a1f88bac\update\update.exe

This product - may - need to be able to update itself. Should it have internet access?

Any idea if this should have any files more recent than April 2005?

Does it only need access during a windows update?

It probably is related to some update download and installation problems that occur if the firewall is not shut down.

anyone know anything more on this?
