What do you do when you can't seem to remember the password you used when setting up the options?
The two passwords that I use aren't working and I can't open up the program. Can anyone help?

    retrieving password

When I set up my SpywareGuard, I thought I was using my "usual" password. Now I can't get into the program. I've typed in every possible password and it still says incorrect. Is there anywhere to go or someone to contact for help on this matter?

    Re:retrieving password

    Hi there,

I can't uninstall or reinstall the program. I thought about that but when I try to uninstall it says I have to close the program first. And it won't reinstall until I uninstall the original one. :'(

The only thing I can think of is that I typed my password incorrectly.

    hey julie,
    you can also do this.
(you get the error you have to close the prog 1st rite? )
its coz it is running in your tray. before uninstalling just click spyware guard open main window and EXIT.
see that its not in tray again.
    now try to uninstall

    thx

Actually, you can't even exit SpywareGuard without the password, so that won't work. However, the password in SpywareGuard is not meant to be unhackable. It's merely a basic protection from other users on your PC from being able to easily shut it down.

Here's a thread on how to remove the password:

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=18346;start=msg113383#msg113383

It is always best to shut SpywareGuard down first prior to deinstalling, just because it's cleaner that way.
